So yeah I finally remembered this blog thingy....<_<

My apologies for the extend disappearing acts I seem to perform so well.

First off in relation to the long time of not posting I'd like to inform you, that as of last Saturday finals are over and school is done for 2 weeks! Finals are always the worst and most time consuming of the 11 weeks on our quarter.

Secondly that means I actually have a little bit of a summer "break" for a change. I plan to enjoy it with lots of bowling outings :D

So how fairs all of you ladies (and gentlemen if anyone's dad wants to say hi :P) ....btw sided tracking, but Hannah tell little ben hello for me :P Although by now he's probably not little anymore.

Alexandra, I may be good with some computer things but even that puzzled me. I'm a visual person, so I'd usually have to see what is being affected before offering advice :P

Hey Luke! Good to hear from you! Life is actually pretty cool around here this time of year. Thursday was homeschool day at Six Flags, so my family met some friends up there and had an absolute blast! (I had only ever ridden one roller coaster in my life before, so I started off with a bang and rode one of the craziest ones there. :P I ended up riding just about every coaster, but still couldn't quite figure out if I liked it or not, haha.)

And this weekend is the Sweetcorn Festival here in our little town. It's the highlight of the year for this town! Lots of fun stuff going on - we actually just got back from the parade!

Anyways, hope you enjoy your little vacation. ^_^

Oh yeah, and me and Alexnadra started driver's ed last week. Yesterday we took our test for our driver's permit and passed. (We both only missed one.) We still need to go to the driver's facility and do the vision test though. Yikes! I'm gonna be driving! O_O

ah six flags....good times. Actually any amusement park with rides is ok in my book ;)

So drivers already hm? Hope your parents aren't like mine and get all nervous when you drive them around (must be a mom thing mainly ;) )

Hannah so I'm sure you told me already, but where did you go away to go to college? I can't imagine being away from anything near my house for too long :P My campus is only about 20 minutes away, so its easy to commute and keep in touch with friends.

Actually, I hadn't been to any amusement park for about 6 or 7 years. Generally they're fun, but I don't care much for crowds.

Hey Hannah! I got your letter yesterday! It was much loverly. ^_^

So guess what, people? I'm actually looking at colleges now. :P I know.... my senior year is a lovely time to start. *cough* I bet you old college people don't even remember that, haha. But I'm taking a year off after I graduate, so it doesn't really matter right exactly now. ;)

Actually Madeline I took a year off as well so I kind of know what you feel like :P I already knew I was following my older brother in his college choice, but I wasn't ready for 4 more years of school right after high school (I still think I'm unprepared <_< lol)

Get a license and torment your parents a while. Then find a job that will help pay for books and tuition. That's the path I took and it worked out ok (except they forced the license on me I had no desire whatsoever to drive, but by 18 they told me I had to <_<)

I didn't know you took a year off! Yeah, I'm going to be a workaholic as soon as I'm done with high school, haha. I wish I could start a job now, but I'm not sure I could handle it on top of everything else.

I did some calculations though (factoring allowance, babysitting money, birthday money, and a job at minimum wage) and I figured out that even if I save up every single cent, not spending ANYTHING, I'll only be able to save up about $14,850 by the time I'll go to college. That's enough for about 1 semester, haha.

Sheesh.... I should have started saving money when I was 5. :P

Oh yeah, and by the way Luke, I'm looking at Cedarville college. If I actually go there we might be able to meet up sometime. :) (Although, I have a personal vendetta against the giant lake in the middle of campus, so I'm not sure I really want to go there, haha.)

Are you guys getting rain too? We're getting the last remnants of hurricane Ike over here. This morning our church basement flooded, so we had pretty much the whole church down there bailing it out. (We were supposed to have a fellowship dinner down there! The good thing was, we have a second fellowship room upstairs, so we used that.)

To make a long story short, we were able to get all the water out of the basement in a couple hours, and we got soaked to the bone, but with everyone working together we made it fun. :)

Our own house flooded too, but we got that mostly cleaned up. Do you guys even have any rain?

i just remembered something luke, you're no longer the only one who calls me alex. my driving teacher calls me alex too. this wouldn't be so bad, except there's another alex already in my class, and it gets very confusing when our teacher says "alex!" (we both look up, confused) invariably he means me.

You have to admit Alexandra that I have gotten better at not shortening it :P

So you might wonder why i posted a lot then stopped. Go figure it was school! School classes are 5 days a week (o.0) then 4 work days on top of that! "Thems the breaks" just doesn't do it justice lol.

I have a feeling my astronomy teacher and I might have some conflicting views (go figure again....creation vs evolution debates)

Thankfully I've managed to hold onto my sanity and plug along. Hopefully you all don't have AS much on your plates :D

Probably we don't, haha. Hannah might though, seeing as she's in college now too. I don't have a job yet, but I hope to get one soon. Then I'll find out what busy really means. ;)

Hope you're able to continue to keep your sanity, haha. ;)

Earlier this week Alexandra and I drove with our driver's ed teacher for the first time. Stay off the sidewalks! :P

No, actually, we're pretty good. At least he didn't have to use the brake on us. ;)

Hannah, you should learn to drive.

Got to love the instructor side brake pedal :P I never noticed it till a couple times doing practice in the car I felt it slowing down way earlier then i pressed the pedal when going toward a light :P

My favorite quote from my instructor was "don't hit the children...." cause he would say it in a deep creepy voice then have a menacing laugh lol. Really he was a good guy though :P

Oh my look its people!

We're hitting the halfway point for the fall quarter and im SOOO looking forward to the month and a half winter break :P

Why does school have to be so....educational? Sometimes I wish school could be more of a giant get together for young people rather then a place to study and work long hours on homework :)

So now that my little rant is over how is everyone?

Month and a half break!?!? Dude! That's awesome! I am so jealous. The longest break we ever get is a week, and only under very special circumstances.

Haha... if school wasn't so educational it would have to be called crayons. :P School is just that - school. It's a form of work. You have school pretty much as soon as you can talk, and then after school you move on to work, and that doesn't stop until you die. We have to wait for heaven in order to go someplace where it's just a giant get together. ;)

How am I? I'm doing good. Driving is going well - I haven't hit anything yet, haha. School's going well. My brother's wedding plans are rushing along at full speed ahead. My family's going out to PA for Thanksgiving. (Think you could manage coming to see me, Hannah?) The only thing I might be able to complain about would be the cold weather, but I can't even complain about that because it means I can wear cozy sweaters and drink cappucinos and wear toe socks! ^_^

I'm thinking about having a dance or something up in Grove City. Do you think you could make that, or would it be too far away? Otherwise we might be able to get together in Pittsburgh the day after Thanksgiving.

Aww I always miss the dances :/ Hmm madeline you'll have to educate me on the down low about these "toe socks".

glad driving is going well. Soon enough you all can come see me down here in this igloo of a state :P

Hard to believe Thanksgiving is so close o.0 We're 2/3 through our school quarter, so i guess that makes sense.

Not sure if I mentioned this, but I seem to be taking a popular college path of switching degrees. I thought a biz major would be a good choice, but apparently math and me just don't get along :P As of this upcoming winter quarter I'll be a CIS 2 year major. It's a small setback as I'll be look for a job right after this associates degree, then going back to school a few years later.

I'd appreciate any and all prayer on the matter, as it seems financially to be a not so smart move, but its the only workable idea right now.

I'll be praying for you, Luke. College is a tricky thing - you think you want to do one thing, but then you find it's not really something you want to do the rest of your life. I'm not even in college yet, but trying to make decisions on what I want to do.... bleh.

And as for the toe socks, tee hee, I don't think males generally wear them. :P They're like regular socks, only each of the toes is separate - like gloves, only for feet. If you're one of those people who needs a visual, here's some pictures: http://www.sockdreams.com/_shop/pages/socks_cat_CategoryID_91.php

Sorry ladies :P It's officially finals week(s) so I've been super busy trying to write papers, take tests, and present projects.

We're just about ready for our fist snow and I'm psyched for break coming up!

Other then that there really isn't too much to tell. I've mostly been working a ton and doing school in the spare time. (wait reverse that lol)

I did find out I'm going to Kentucky over the weekend to visit my mom's parents (my grandma is turning 70), so that should go nice seeing as my uncle and his family will be there as well.
