Yeah for Moving Companies!

Posted in Everyday Life

Well, it's official. We talked to the company that is contracted by Rick's company  to take care of all moving, etc. yesterday and rofessional movers will come in and pack our stuff and then move it for us. I still can't conceive of such luxury! God is good.

Tomorrow we're going to Madison to check out the Calvary Chapel Church there, and then we'll take a look at four different homes that I made appointments to see. It will be a lot of traveling in one day (all four are in different towns), but hopefully we'll be able to solidify something and have a better idea of when we will actually be moving over there. We're hoping for the 1st of October, but sooner might be okay also. We'll just have to see what God opens up.

I'm really looking forward to going to this church. I'm hoping that our family will be able to make friends with the people in this congregation fairly quickly. My oldest, who is very social and typically has no problem talking to people, is very concerned about having to make new friends. I would love for this church to be a good fit for us. I talked to the pastor's wife this past week. They have six kids and one of her daughters was born the same year as my oldest. I'm hoping they will "click."

If you think about us, please pray that we find the right place before October 1. Our school district wants us to enroll by September 15 for Minnesota, but the cutoff date for Wisconsin for enrolling isn't until October 15. I would love to just do it once and not have the hassle of taking in all the info that MN requires. Wisconsin is just one form mailed off.

I LIKE Wisconsin!

Hi Marla, This is certainly good news. I didn't realize (or I missed it) that you were pregnant. God's provision is so perfect isn't it? And, we sure love Wisconsin too!...not because of the homeschooling requirements as we don't really know what they are, but we're lovin' the weather, the friendly people, this house (!), the scenery, the farms, the rolling hills, the horse/wagon xing signs, the snow mobile xing signs, Amish farms, cheese curds...O, it's just too much to name!! Phillip keeps saying, "Can we move here?" over and over.....

About our moving around. We're usually in one city for seven weeks. The jobs are only six weeks but we're usually here early and we sometimes leave late. My husband is a superintendent for a construction company in Ft. Worth, Texas and Wal-Mart is one of their clients. We have a home and 24 acres in East Texas. As far as packing, we sort of have it down to a science....SORT OF.......there's always room for improvement. We rent the smallest U-Haul box trailer, load it up with our essentials and we're on our way. It really doesn't take very long at all to do. We travel light. I'm hoping someday to blog about it living "light" but it just hasn't come to me yet. I have such writers block now that I have a blog. It's weird.

It's been so nice to get to know you. Please know that I will pray for direction/guidance, your stamina and strength, just the right house, and a suitable church home.

Blessings~ Angela

We go to a Calvary Chapel affiliate out here too, have been to quite a few when we lived in CA. Hope the one you're thinking of attending is a perfect fit for you! House hunting can be fun, if you leave the stress out of it. Praying you find just the right place, at God's perfect timing.

I lived in WI for a couple of years. Now, being a southern girl at heart, all that snow & cold didn't sit too well with me. But I'll say this for the state: they make excellent cheese. :)
