Organization

Posted in Everyday Life

I forget how busy having a baby can be. It seems like I'm constantly changing diapers or nursing when I have a free moment. My biggest enemy is a unorganized schedule. Nothing is really set in stone and it's murder on getting anything extra done.

I did have a great link emailed to me yesterday from HGTV about organization and since I desperately need more to corral all of the extra stuff that is overtaking me, I'm going attempt to do what it is suggests. It sounds manageable. I'm including the link in case anyone else wants the information.

The good news is that this is all driving me closer to Jesus. I'm realizing that I can't just do the "motions" of following Him. I need to seek Him daily and lean on Him for His strength. Having been raised in a Christian home, sometimes I can get in the habit of doing the right thing, but forget about who it's all about.

I don't have a whole lot of time so I'm ending here, but I hope you have a wonderful day in Him, with Him and for Him.

Apr. 28, 2007 - Hi Marla!

I've been thinking about you! I have had so much trouble with HSB I've threatened to just quit the whole thing. But, I do enjoy blogging ~ when I can get to it. Seems life keeps me away from this ole computer and I guess I'm thankful for that ~ means I've got my priorities in order, right?

I see you've had a baby and it sounds like you all are settled there in Wisconsin. Boy do we ever miss being up there!! It's just a different world here in the south and I don't mind saying so!

God's best to you!
Angela

Hi Marla, I went to SR high school. I know the school you went to. Isn't it the community center right now? It is near my parents. They live in Windsor. We go back at least once a year. It is so crowded there and expensive. I graduated in '85

Hi Marla,
I remember those times! It feels like you get *nothing* done, but it passes... and far too quickly if you ask me!

<<Having been raised in a Christian home, sometimes I can get in the habit of doing the right thing, but forget about who it's all about.>>

I can totally relate to that statement! How are things now? It's been a while since you posted! :)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I wanted to reply to this: <<I still LOVE your photos. Do you use a regular camera or a digital? Do you do this professionally? I thought it was interesting that you used to live in Modesto, CA also. That's where we come from too. We now live in Wisconsin.<<

Thank you & too funny that you're from Modesto too! I use a digital camera- the Canon Digital Rebel, to be exact. :) And no, I'm not a professional- just a passionate hobbyist. :)

TTYL!
Love, Alyssa

Thanks, Marla, for your encouraging words and prayers. It's always nice to hear from people who have been through this and know exactly what it's like, and now God has been so good to them. I hope you're enjoying life with all it's bringing these days- I imagine your baby is getting big fast!
Bless you,
Rebeca

Thanks for the comments on my http://appleofthineeye.blogspot.com/ and visiting me. Your blog is nice. I like all the links it provides. I live in Northern California too. Roseville-
What a blessing to have five children. You do have your work cut out. Be diligent though because it all goes by so fast. A scripture that I found encouraging today to help me keep my focus on what is important is Hebrews 11: 13-16 "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. And truly if they had been mindful of that country from which they came out. they might have had opportunity to have returned. But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God:for he hath prepared for them a city."
