A Week's Worth Of Menus

I was joking with my husband this morning about how my oldest son likes to check the menu I post on the fridge to see what we will be having.  Having no frame of reference, he thinks it is standard for the mom to plan and post a menu so the kids can read it and 1) look forward to their favorites or 2) register their complaints.  I had written on the menu for last night that we would be having "loaded baked potatoes" for dinner with a salad.  When he came in to dinner last night, he took one look at my spread (butter, sour cream, chopped broccoli, bacon bits, cheese) and said, "Well, it said 'loaded baked potatoes' but these aren't loaded because I don't see any gravy."

I restrained myself from throttling him, much to my credit.  I looked at my husband and said, "Oooooh, I can't wait for him to get married."  Perhaps then he will get a dose of reality and come to treasure his ole mom!

Anyway, all of this has led me to post my menu here, as I have had comments in the past that it is helpful to you all for me to do so.  I hope it gives you all some creative ideas for your own meals this week!

Tuesday: chicken and bean burritos, canned pears

Wednesday: Loaded baked potatoes, tossed salad

Thursday: Chicken breast patty sandwiches (the Tyson frozen kind), carrot sticks with ranch dressing, frozen french fries, pickle spears, M&M bar cookies for dessert

Friday: Roast with carrots and potatoes, green beans

Saturday: Roasted chicken, stuffing, peas

Sunday: bacon, eggs, biscuits (this will be an after church meal with leftovers for dinner)

Monday: Barbecue Chicken sandwiches, corn, oven roasted potatoes

Tuesday: pizza nite (Domino's two for Tuesday deal)
