Well, The Sign's In The Yard

The realtor came by this morning and stuck the sign in the yard.  It was sort of surreal to see it there-- proclaiming to all our neighbors that we are moving.  I am a bit sad-- but also excited to see where we will end up.  Please join with me (if you feel led to do so) in praying that this process will be quick!  I am not excited about keeping the house "show ready" with six kids running behind me undoing whatever I do.  This will be a huge challenge-- but a necessary one.  We have put this off for as long as we could.

As for my bday, well, it was not the greatest day-- in fact, it was pretty terrible, as bdays go.  I overslept and was awakened by my son saying he had to leave for school-- now.  So I jumped up and rushed into my day, feeling very tired and behind from the get-go.  I got turned down by a magazine for not one, but two, articles I submitted to them.  The dog peed on the floor (thankfully on the hardwood).  And to top it all off, my car died in my driveway.  The good news is, my father in law is letting us borrow one of his cars until mine is fixed.  And he and his wife came and sat with the kids so Curt and we could go out for a quick dinner to *try* to salvage the day.

Even though today has so far involved nothing but cleaning the house and running kids back and forth to their annual testing, it has been a better day today than yesterday-- if that tells you anything at all.

May. 30, 2007 - Sorry

I'm sorry your birthday wasn't all you'd secretly hoped for! There's always next year though!! I learned from your Mother's Day post to keep my expectations pretty low for Gary and the kids. That way, it'd be pretty hard to be disappointed. It was great advice!

Hey MaryBeth, Congrats on getting the house ready - what a HUGE undertaking. I'll keep you and the process and the dirty feet that track mud in all in prayer.

Sorry about your anticlimactic birthday. Seems like you hit an age where all the birthdays are insignificant. I actually forgot mine for the first hour I was awake this year. I hope you do something to celebrate the year.

Blessings!
