Faith Lifts Fridays
First of all, I have a post up at Faith Lifts today. This was one I liked so much that I also submitted it to Proverbs. Usually I try not to do that, but this time I did. It will appear next week with Proverbs. So for those of you who read both, you will get a double dose!
This morning I went in to get my toddler up from her crib and she was gesturing to let me know she had something in her hand. Because I am always concerned about her finding something that will choke her, I asked her to put whatever it was in my hand. Just as she dropped it into my hand, I realized what she was saying: "Nose, Nose." As I looked down into my hand at the booger that she had just handed me, she wrinkled up her little nose and pointed at it.
All I could say in reply was, "Thanks."
Ah, the glamorous life of a mom.

Too funny!! =) Just had to laugh!!
The same thing (almost, but not quite) happened to a friend of mine. Her little daughter was running to her with her finger out, crying, and saying, "Boo boo! Boo boo!" So, like any good mother, my friend took her daughter's finger and kissed it, hoping that would take care of her boo boo. Turns out she had something slimy on her lip as she pulled away and realized her daughter was NOT hurt. Ewwww!!!!!
Makes me think, too, of a favorite joke of Suzanne's a few years back... Q. How do you make a handkerchief dance? A. Put a little boogie in it.
Have a great weekend!
