Countdown until our anniversary

Homeschooling Adventures at the Maxwell's Saturday, December 23, 2006 Resolution #5 - Time with friends Posted in RESOLUTIONS Resolution #5 - Time with friends.   Why:  I have a couple of friends that I talk on the phone with on a somewhat regular basis, but we rarely have any face time.  There are also several couples that my husband and I used to hang out with before we had children.  Since a very good friend of mine passed away a couple of months ago, I've realized how much my friends mean to me, and that sometimes I have to take that first step to reconnect.   How:  Calling my friends is a good start, instead of waiting for them to call me.  Inviting one friend/couple/family to our house for dinner per month works pretty well, too.  Of course, it will only work if they are receptive to our invitation.  It's hard for people's schedules to match, but if everyone wants to make it work then it will.  We had one couple out in November and we had a great time just catching up, I want a LOT more of that.  This is the shortest resolution yet, I guess because it seems the simplest to carry out.  Just pick up the phone to talk, and again to invite them out. • Post A Comment! • Send to a Friend!
