Homeschooling Adventures at the Maxwell's Wednesday, March 21, 2007 Scrubbing Floors Posted in RAMBLINGS Believe it or not, I've been on my knees for the last half hour scrubbing my kitchen floor by HAND!  I can't believe it, that's for sure.  Here lately I've been using the Swiffer Wet Jet for all my mopping and it does okay for everyday stuff, but not so great for ground in stains.  So as I was doing some Spring cleaning in the kitchen I noticed that our footpaths around the kitchen were clearly defined, LOL.  So I went to my hubby's garage and stole a couple of new shop rags and grabbed my bottle of spray cleaner with bleach and got to work!  WOW, what a difference it has made.  So far I've only done behind the island to the windows, but it looks great.  I cannot believe I'm posting a pic of my floor, but I was so surprised at the difference! What is really sad is that the floor at the top of the screen, under the table, is actually clean!  It is just very dingy from inadequete mopping, I suppose.  I was actually ready to get a whole new floor for in here, but after hand scrubbing this little bit, I think we'll be able to hold off for quite a while.  Got a nice clean floor and saved us some $$, can't beat that! • Post A Comment! • Send to a Friend! Mine is so pathetic and old that even after a good hands and knees scrubbing it looks like I did nothing. Needs to be replaced. Glad you could get a great look and saved money too! Can't beat that!
