Biology Labs Information

                                    3:30-5:30 pm Monday –Friday

 February 9-13 in Mr. Weidner’s room at TCHS

Feb. 9 – Microscope lab

Feb. 10 – Worm and Grasshopper Dissection

Feb. 11 – Starfish and Crayfish Dissection

Feb. 12 – Fish Dissection Frog Dissection part one

Feb. 13 – Frog Dissection part two

Each lab, except the microscope lab, will have a Life Processes chart for that organism which should be filled out and turned in the following day. You can find the information to fill out these charts from the dissection sheets and your biology books. They need to be completely filled out or points will be taken off. The microscope lab will have a diagram to label and drawings to turn in. Grading will be as follows:

Attendance                   10%

Lab Sheets                   40%

Life Processes charts    50%

Remember to sign in at the office when you come in and sign out as you leave. Students need to read the pages in their biology books that pertain to the upcoming labs to get the most out of the class. Plus, if you read about the organism first, then filling out the charts will be easier.

The cost is $40 per person which includes supplies. I need to know who is interested as soon as possible so that I can order the dissection kits.
