Well, I am turning 45 on Wednesday. There are so many joys to aging and so many "joys." Concerning the JOYS: Prayerfully I am wiser and have grown in my relationship with the LORD. I am so greatful to be able to see my kids learn and grow as we homeschool. What an honor to be part of the process. And, what an awesome responsibility! I love my husband more today than when we married almost 16 years ago. I have a wonderful Mother-in-Love who sets a wonderful example of what a Godly Christian grandmother and Titus woman should be. And, I have three wonderful sisters who are blazing the trail before me, so there aren't as many surprizes! Concerning the "Joys": I've noticed that my "ideal weight" gets higher each year. And yet, I still don't reach it. I can't swing without getting dizzy. Forget about amusement park roller coasters or, for that matter, rides that involve going in a circle! I have to take my glasses off to read the computer screen or a book. I learned that gray hair has a different, ornery texture than my regular light brown hair (hmm...a sign of things to come?) And I have come to realize that, not only am I definitely middle-aged (45 is half of 90), I have probably PASSED it! Praise God that means I'm probably over half way to HEAVEN! Happy Birthday to Me! |
