Bed time, Growth and prayer

Posted in a bit of everything

Hey Yall! Many of God's Blessings to you!

Well let’s see, it’s bed time. Why is it when I tell my wonderful children to clean their rooms, and go in the bathroom to brush their teeth and wash their face it takes an extra 30+ minutes? Geesh! But they are in bed now. We have prayed and I have read proverbs 22 to them. Although right now it may be going way over their head we are still reading it. We will probably read it repeatedly like this sometime in the future. They really enjoy the readings. Although tonight they were a bit wired. They wanted to yodel and make shadow puppets. Kids are so funny. I read tonight that a good bedtime for them is 8-9pm. I think it will be that instead of 9:30! They won’t like that though. Yes I know it’s the summer time but in my non existent parental book that’s not a good enough reason to have unhealthy habits. Sleep is good. We all know that as adults. You see I’m rather height challenged. I wonder when my children will have a growth spurt. My girls are about 8 inches shorter than I am and they haven’t even hit the double digits yet! So in order to prevent them from over indulging in my gene pool for height, adequate sleep is in order! Well sleep, exercise, and good nutrition is in order. We have that all down. We are going to have a healthy summer full of good habits developing!

Dear Father God,

We come before your mighty throne humbly in prayer. Lord you alone are all we need. Father God, I pray that you will continue to have grace and mercy on us. I pray to you because you alone are all we need and all good blessings come from above! Your awe of controlling the universe can not be understood by mere man, for you are the Great Father in Heaven! Lord I pray that your mightiness will not be forgotten in our hearts. Lord your glory is seen daily in our lives with the Sun, Moon and Earth all working together without a missing moment. Who else can create such a place for us to live and receive what we need. We thank you for the breath of life daily! God your mighty hand being in our lives keeps me in awe. Testimonies upon testimonies, man are in awe of your workings. May we not forget that you alone are all we need. You alone are all we need! There is nothing else on this earth that we need, only you. For you give us out breath of life to live daily! Who else do we need if you are our very source and breath of life? Praise be to you Glorious God who’s word is with out fail! Glory be to you Lord!

Lord you know all, and we know nothing. God please continue to bless us with our needs. Lord please open our hearts and eyes to the things we need to see. Please close our eyes to those we do not need to be exposed to. Please keep evil plans and schemes from our lives and families. Lord help us to be wise and discerning. Lord please let us be able to yield to the Holy Spirit. Please let us hear you voice loudly and with out doubt. Lord we ask that you fill us with wisdom, knowledge, love and care. Lord your first commandment is Love. Please help us to love. We want to show your love as we claim we love you! God I praise your name!

In Jesus Name

Amen!

Amen!

I've enjoyed catching up with you and praying with you again. What a blessing it is.

I'm so glad to hear you're in the last week of school. I know it is a large undertaking and I pray you will press on and achieve all the Lord has for you to achieve. His strength will see you through, of course you know that.

Heehee, it only adds 30 minutes at your house for brushing teeth, etc?! Hmmph, my boy makes it a good added hour most nights lately! ;-)

Pleasant dreams friend & many blessings!
