Help! I'm Being Held Prisoner in a World of Sin!
Sep. 9, 2007
Ms. L'Engle, we'll miss you!!!

Madeleine L'Engle is dead...

Pour a cup of tea and pull out your favorite L'Engle book and think of her.

What's your favorite L'Engle book? Post  it in a comment!!

Mine might be A Severed Wasp, or A Live Coal in the Sea, or The Arm of the Starfish, or The Young Unicorns...

Her theology was pretty muddled, but her characters...and her interweaving storylines...the way she caused me to think. And helped me realize during my most gawky, difficult years that I wasn't that weird...

So glad that you are all together. The house looks great and I am looking forward to the first time I get to see you all in it.
My favorite Madeline L'Engle book is either A Wrinkle in Time or The Arm of the Starfish. Know what you mean about the theology thing but she did the same for me.
Love to you all,
Karen, who can't log on to homeschoolblogger so I can write posts.

Sigh...it's been a long time since I was first introduced to L'Engle in high school. A Wrinkle in Time is the only book I recall reading, though I might have read another I've forgotten the name of. I'm going to have to reread it and check out the others. She was an amazing author. You are not weird at all (or else, we are both weird)!
On another note...the other day I heard the Cambridge Singers perform one of Rutter's songs on classical radio and thought of you :o)
