Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

So Much In So Little Time...

Today's Top Headlines:
1: Field Day announces last day of school!
2: Two new books for Messenger!
     3: Messenger's brother's ride in the ambulance...
     4: Messenger's new friend

So, 1: field day was today.  I had so much fun.  Since our school is split up between two days (4-7 grades on Tusesday and Thursday; 8-12 on Mon. and Wed.), I was kind of nervous for the seventh graders to be coming next year (who will then be in 8th).  Next year I'm in high school!  But I've seen a lot of things I didn't really like about the seventh graders.
But today there were four activities that everyone had to attend.  The teachers split us up into ten groups of ten, with some exceptions.  Anyway, most of the girls in my group (actually, all) were the seventh graders.  But I had a great time getting to know the 8th graders of next school year.  Now I'm really comfortable with them.

2: I GOT TWO NEW BOOKS!!!  First, "Praying the Names of God" by Ann Spangler.  It's a daily devotional about the names of God and their Hebrew roots and everything!  Then "House" by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker two of the greatest authors of the 21st century!  And by the way, it's coming out in theatres this October!!!

3: So, my mom went to some conference with her chiropractor so I was watching my sister (and her friend) and my little brothers.  My brothers go outside to play and my oldest, Hunter, comes back in a while later telling me that my youngest brother, Jadin, is hurt.  So, I'm thinking he got scratched again, he'll be fine in five minutes.
I go to the neighbor's house where I see him lying on their driveway with our neighbor boy's mom there and some other guy I haven't seen before.  Jadin's lying in this strange way and the guy is looking him over.  My sister said this guy is a doctor that heard Jadin screaming.  Screaming? I think.  Okay...Then I started getting scared.
Apparently Jadin was spinning around in the grass and just being a wild eight-year-old when he fell on a landscape rock.  The paramedic guy is kind of worried about something being hurt internally in Jadin.  So, he calls the ambulance, and by now I'm trying to get a hold of my mom.  I can't but before the paramedics arrive, she drives up and is really disturbed seeing everyone surrounding Jadin.
When she gets there, she's kind of laidback thinking that Jadin is fine.  The ambulance and a firetruck come into our col-de-sac and drive Jadin away with my doubting mom following.
This whole time I'm freaking out.  I call friends and thankfully, some trusted church friends were on the IM and decided to come over.  That really calmed me down.
Ended up Jadin's fine.  We just need to keep an eye on him just in case.

4: This girl in my class wrote in my yearbook that she really looked up to me because she wanted a relationship with God like I had.  That took me off guard.  So, I feel God pressing on my heart to e-mail her.  I did and it ends up she and I are totally alike.  She and I are both pastor's daughters, in the same grade, dealing with the same issues, and have the same friend.  She wants to get together with me and our friend during the summer and I'm really excited to get to know her!

And that all happened in one day!

In Christ,
Messenger

Busy day! I'm so glad your brother wasn't hurt that bad...man.
that's so cool about that girl! I had a similar experience with my now-best-friend. She called me to ask when a service was at our church and...well, now we're really close. :)
So...which do you prefer? A boring day, or a really busy one? :)
In Christ,
Grace

I love it when you have days like that... maybe not the whole brother going to the hospital thing but I LOVE getting new books and making new friends!
When i get my own house one of the rooms is going to be a library! I buy books ALL the time, I love to read! When I didn't have any friends or the friends I had weren't very nice and stuff like that I found refuge in books, they where my friends... Now I've got God though! Well I always had him I just never realised before I was 13 (I am now 14)! But I still LOVE to read in my room at the moment, on my little book shelf and bedside table I have... let me count... you probably don't want to know this... um?... 82 books! At the moment I'm reading The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins... Great book once you get into it!
I've got old and new books, fat and thin, good and not-so-good!
I'm glad your family is all happy!
Hope your brother is still fine and dandy!
Comment you soon!
