Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While we celebrate the day that the United States of America proclaimed its independence, its freedom, I was thinking of something else as well.

The greatest freedom that the whole world has been offered is the freedom from sin.  Two thousand years ago when Jesus Christ died on the cross, taking on all the sin of the world, then rose again three days later, defeating death, He gave us freedom.  And He's offering it freely.  All we have to do is accept it.

I'm sure that the people living in America during the time of the Declaration of Independence celebrated.  (Well, those who wanted it).  They were finally free!
How much different is it when we accept Jesus as our Lord?  It's  much more glorious, though, once our body dies.  While we may suffer persecution while we are on earth, we are given eternity in Heaven - and later, the New Earth.

In Christ,
Messenger
