My friend Lisa shared a cookie cake recipe with me. She had made lemon cookies and liked them.
So I just changed the cake mix to butter pecan. Half of them I covered in powdered sugar, the other half I didn't.
They were really good.
Here is the recipe I used, I am sure you could use any cake mix you like. (She did mention to add about a T of water to Chocolate and Red Velvet Cake mixes. )

1 Butter Pecan Cake Mix
1 Cup butter softened
1 Egg
Mix together with beaters till dough forms. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake @350 for 12-15 minutes.
Cool 2 minutes then if desired dredge in powdered sugar. (Cool again and re-roll in powdered sugar).
