It has only been a few days, but I feel thinner and less bloated. I weighed myself this morning and it said 166, but I will have an official weigh in on Monday. To make things easier, I am eating mostly lean cuisines. They actually print the Weight Watcher's Points right on the side so it is easy to keep track. I think they are good tasting and satisfying too. They are made by Stouffers, and I love Stouffer's frozen dinners.
A trick that I have found is that if I have a cup of hot Earl Gray tea with my meal, it add's to the full feeling and makes me feel greatly relaxed. I don't know what it is about tea that does that, but it has some sort of calming properties to it.
For breakfast, I usually just eat small. I am always very thirsty when I wake up so I drink a large glass of water. Then for breakfast I usually eat one of these three meals...
3/4 c. Life Cereal
1/2 c. Milk
=3 Points
The above with 1/2 Apple
=4 Points
Whole Apple
1/2 c. Low Fat Cottage Cheese
=4 Points
I only have 22 points to work with each day so my meals need to stay around 5-6 points and have a little extra for a snack. I like to have a piece of toast, or fruit for snacks. I am not a big meat eater so I don't crave that. The tea I drink satisfies my sweet tooth. All in all, I really like this diet plan.
On the exercise front, I did half of an exercise video "Lift Weights to Lose Weight 2" by Kathy Smith. The first half is lower body, the second half is upper body and tonight I will do the ab work. I have done the workout in the evening and I think I will stick with that, because weight lifting really fries my body and I am pretty much done for the day after that.
For cardio, I am either playing with my kids, the other day my oldest dd and I were jumping around and singing on her new Karaoke Machine; then we did an Irish dancing video. She is trying to learn Irish dancing for a geography night we have coming up. Today I went for a 45 minute walk around the neighborhood. I added a little bit of running to it.
Well there it is. My update. I will give an official update next week. |
