Lifehouse 'Everything' Skit on GodTube.com
This is called GodTube...kinda like YouTube. It's awesomely powerful! I have dial-up and it took forever for it to play the first time (which I do with the volume turned off and doing something else, so it will run through the first time with glitches and such and the second time it's alright), but it's so worth the effort!! If you have high-speed, you should see it just fine the first time.
The video is kinda difficult to discern what is going on during the skit. It didn't impact me until I saw it more than once. For that reason, I will give you an outline of what you will see. Don't worry. It will still impact you! It's so awesome! I have showed it to my children and my husband, each separately and I have cried each time. If you know Jesus and what He has done for you, this will affect you. Guaranteed.
Outline:
Jesus/God comes out on stage and creates the girl. He is "wooing" her by showing her all the beautiful things he has made. The flowers, the tree with a yummy apple, the rain, a bird. He dances with her and loves on her. The purest love.
A man comes out and begins to woo her too. He shoves Jesus aside as he gently pulls the girl further from Christ with his romancing. He gives her a rose that he takes out of his mouth and puts in hers while dancing with her.
Another man comes along and "woos" her with money. She scrambles after it, getting further away from Christ.
A party girl/friend comes along and has a beer. She hangs on the girl, obviously wanting her to party with her. The girl is tempted.
A fashion diva comes along and tempts the girl with clothing and an obsession with her body. Of course, the girl proceeds to get even further from Christ.
A man in black comes along. He looks like death. He woos her too. The girl is in such distress that she takes the knife from him and he convinces her to cut her arm. She is so distraught but further from Jesus yet. She attempts to go back to Him, but death drags her away. Death hands her a gun. She holds it to her head and weeps.
The music gets louder now, the crowd cheers because the girl has chosen to throw down the gun and lunges in the direction of Christ. All the people pull her back. They keep pulling her back.....watch the video to see what happens next! You won't regret it.
