Another Good Advent Study

Posted in Home Education

Wow, can you believe it? Tomorrow is the start of Advent! If you have missed this post, it's not too late to download the free Inductive Advent Study I'm hosting on my website.  This is a great study to do with your children of different ages.

If you are wondering how daddy can be involved, my friend Katherine Loop has written a sweet study and a craft that goes with it. You can find it here. We used that for our evening devotions last year and we plan to use it again this year. Her study begins on December 1st.

Okay, better go. I'm in the middle of baking bread and making kimchi. Yeah, I love kimchi. :)

We have done Advent wreaths for years (thanks to our Catholic background) and usually the kids just plain hate it. One year, the study we were doing involved singing hymns together. You'd have thought I was asking them to cut off their toes! But, this one looks like something they'll really enjoy, especially Cameron.

Thanks for tracking this down. You're just so good at that.

This looks wonderful! And I'm so glad it doesn't start until tomorrow. ;) With my parents here, I feel like we are a weeks behind, but the memories are more valuable than having advent planned, right? :D

Also, I ended up posting the link to the other study on my blog tonight. Heart of the Matter wanted to wait to use my post until after Thanksgiving, but I have no idea when it will be up.

Have a blessed Christmas season!

Peace to you,
Renae

Thank you for the resource! I have downloaded it and will read it today... but will probably keep it for next year. We traveled to South Carolina from Minnesota for Thanksgiving and just got home late last night. I am already behind on my Jesse Tree! But, the books look great!

I'm looking through your Advent page and was so excited to see your name. My children's Obason's name is Meeko. We've never met another Meeko before. How fun to have found you. Blessings to you and your family as you celebrate and prepare for the blessed Christmas day!!!

In His faithful hands,
Traci
