Black and White

Two blogs you must read today, if you've only got time for 2!

First off, check out the great photos of DC and the lobbying trip that Heidi went on with her husband to D.C. last week.  You'll be encouraged that homeschooling is not just growing, it is thriving!

Second, if you're feeling like a parenting book failure, check out the refreshing perspective on Diana Waring's blog.  It's a nice reminder of Whom we should be following for advice.

Have a blessed day.  We're off to a Science/Art/History Fair with our homeschool group.

Thanks for your comments and for letting us know about these posts ~ they were great. the Warings will have a lot to teach us :) The poetry parties really have been fun. As long as there is food and something special to drink (we usually do sparkling apple cider) it always make's school feel like a party. Somedays they wind up doing all their subjects there in the dining room (after all the time and money spent on the classroom!). By God's grace I am learning to let go of perfectionism too. Our first lapbooks were a fine display of Mom's ablitity. Did I think someone was grading them? :) I no longer fix their beds or their crafts...much.
Blessings on your week-end!

I'm going to go check out Diana's post right now- I need some encouragement today after a pretty hard morning with my son.
Thanks for the link.
Hope you have a great weekend,
Rebeca
