Trap!

We've set a trap for the Covenant Brutes. It consists of a dead deer planted in a field with some snipers stationed in the woods around it. I didn't have a sniper rifle. I opt for the good old rocket launcher; in other words, I play cleanup. :) Brutes are horribly blood thirsty and we use this to our advantage. We don't have disgusting habits for the enemy to exploit. Good always triumphs. Oh yeah. The attack on Centrali. We won. But victory came at the cost of 200 Marines and one of the Beta Scorpions. The Covenant lost 400 Grunts, 100 Brutes, and 300 of those stupid Jackels :( -- (I hate those guys) plus 20 random vehicles. The strangest thing is that we found over 100 Elites in the prison catacombs. They were put in by the Brutes and some had starved to death. The Elites have since been responsible for three victories by giving us invaluable information as to the Covenant's defense & attack tactics. The Elites have also destroyed 900 of the enemy forces by infiltration and sabotage. It is amazing what your enemy can do for you if you don't just mow them down without question. If we hadn't had mercy we would have lost hundereds to a very cunning trap. The Elites had helped to devise the trap before they were betrayed, thus they were able to keep us from unknowingly destroying all of Centrali! Assault on Castlil Centrali

We just got one the list for some high-power, human, plasma rifles. They look like the old assault rifles but with the two top and bottom barrels like the Covenant ones. They have a tiny nuclear reaction inside the stock that produces plasma and super-heats it. Only under certain conditions can the plasma be produced. These conditions are replicated inside the atomic plasma reactor. We also got four mongooses and some Covenant armor shielding devices with built-in cloaks. Some new helmets were delivered in our brand new Pelican. We are getting ready to push into Castlil Centrali. A Covenant base located in the forest about 2 miles to the south of Miracle Ridge Observatory/Research Facility/Military Outpost we are located in.

These new hogs are made of a carbon-fiber alloy. This makes them incredibly fast and agile, But, it also makes them too light. One of the marines and I were driving one when a big rig rushed by and and it picked up that hog in its jet stream, flipped it up through the air, and landed it upside down on the other side of the road. I was fine but the marine was tossed out of the hog and landed pretty hard. He got some stitches and knocked a tooth out, but it wasn't as bad as the wreck I had in a ghost a few months ago.True story, except we were on bikes. Big rig and everything - except flying through the air. He just wiped out on chipseal. :( Scorpion Delta Beta

We have finally received a Scorpion. But not just any Scorpion; the Delta class Beta test unit. It rapid fires artillery and regular shells with four machine gun turrets. the mini-turrets have heavy armor and are about as indestructable as the main body. I have not lost a marine yet in this baby. Oh, the machine guns fire 50 Cal. armor piercing rounds at about 600 shots per second. This is the high class of high class. Back when I fought with Johnson and the Chief I used the Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie classes. They have nothing on my Delta Beta. The Hogs are just good old Heavy Gauss. That's another way of saying, "AWESOME VEHICLES EVERYWHERE!" Hoo-Rah
Snipers and Shotguns

We finally got a shipment of sniper rifles, shotguns, and over 200 rounds for each. We have the normal battle and assault rifles, but they don't compare to the shear mayhem induced by a good head shot. The 12 marines in my company had to dig in and repel 3 attacks today. The snipers came in very handy for popping off the occasional Elite or Grunt that came from the Shadows and Wraiths. We expect rocket launchers and two hogs later this week. We defend a key position and thus get a variety of weapons. No matter what the Covenant throws at us, none can destroy us. Because of our knowledge of the surroundings and forests we can disappear in the middle of a fight and be back at base before the Covenant can fire another volley.

Due to a lack of intense battle, due to extreme heat (temperatures reaching 105 degrees in my armor), I have constructed a "Blog". This blog shall be updated as seen fit in times of boredom, or an intense or interesting happening. An interesting happening is something such as the wraith plasma flying over head... oh boy --------------------- Transmission-Lost)(Cause-Antenna damaged)(Initiating reserve antenna -------------------------- *Whew* That was the closest one all day. Fortunately there are only Jackels operating the wraith. I took out their Brute leader last night. We had an altercation in the swamp last night and the one with energy shields won. i am closing the channel now. SpartanM203 Out
