Well, as a result of a couple days of circumstances testing me, it came time to put the circumstances to the test.  Language Arts appears to be the nemesis of my eight year old daughter.  I have come to realize that placing Language Arts after lunch was probably not the best idea. 

Being the anal and structured individual I am, it took my husband's wise counsel to direct me to "Be flexible!".  So, I decided to try Language Arts in the morning.  I must admit that though it was not neccessarily the cure all for Shayla's difficulties comprehending, I had more patience in reserve in the morning than in the afternoon!  

So, I ask God to give me patience and He gives my husband the wisdom to encourage me to step outside my comfort zone and change things up a bit.  Honestly, the whole reason for my homeschooling is to have the ability to cater to my child's needs...not mine!  What a revolutionary concept!
