was thinking today about this horrible, terrible, awful, indescribably
inappropriate movie we happened upon last weekend. If you are
ever contemplating a movie to rent on date night or ANY night, and you
see I Love Huckabees...RUN far and fast! It was the most awful
movie I have ever seen. The description on the back of the movie
sounded safe enough...in fact, interesting. It was about a man
who hired a couple investigators to help him determine the meaning of
life. Big names in the movie who apparently were a little off
their rocker when accepting such scripts. It was supposedly a
comedy and noted with something like, "The most original comedy of the
year!" and "Hilarious!" Of course I give those comments hesitant
value because it is the secular community that has voiced such
praise.
Nonetheless,
my hubby and I were looking for a laugh so we took the movie home and
got anything but that. From the first line (which is shocking in
and of itself but we thought perhaps this may have been some sort of
one-time attention getter) to the point we shut off the movie in
disgust we were disappointed. It was foul-mouthed, inappropriate,
lewd, totally random and plotless.
I DESPISE Huckabees.
