Jason
& Nolan Livesay, identical twins raised in Southern California,
both began playing the violin at the age of eight and went on to study
with Todor Pelev. By the time they graduated from high school, they
were performing professionally, winning national violin competitions,
and composing for full orchestra. They both attended Azusa Pacific
University where they studied violin with Ruth Meints and composition
with Phil Shackleton. They later studied film scoring at UCLA and
conducting with Jorge Mester.
