• Nov. 20, 2005 - I didn't know "frogs" could be sentimental...

In honor of all this froginess (see other entries and my Truth Laid Bear status as a crawly amphibian~just perfect!) today, I thought it was appropriate to tell a little froggie story.  Just follow along with the photos above...

Once upon a time my bestest, longest, dearest, most fantabulous friend Elizabeth (see photo 1) gave me a frog prince (see photo 2).  She was given this frog by a friend (to whom this frog was also given with this same purpose)who told her that he was to be her prince until God gave her her true prince charming and then she was to give him away to another princess in waiting.  Well, dearest gave the frog prince to me (see photo 3 - this was a good hair day!) and he patiently waited through a couple prince-not-so-charmings (see photo 4) before God gave me my most wonderful, handsome, gorgeous, God-honoring hubby (see photo 5 - as if you hadn't already guessed by my description!).

As custom would have it, having been married since March, it is time I send froggie off to a new home.  I do believe I have a perfect one in mind, although it will be a challenge departing with my long-time buddy.  After all, he was more than a silly token - he was a reminder that my best friend  prayed for the blessing of a godly husband...and so I will also pass him on as a promise of prayer.

Didn't know "frogs" could be so sentimental!

That was a good hair day (great skin and makeup day, too)! I’ll have to agree with your husband on that one, ‘cause you just look gorgeous! Wow!

So... you’ve hung on to Prince Charming all these years, huh? I didn’t even realize you still had him. That is so cool. Brian is indeed your real, live, honest-to-goodness prince charming, and I am forever grateful that God brought you together.

Thanks again for introducing me to HSB. Not only have I met some really godly, caring people on here, I’ve been able to peek in on you to see how you’re doing even from so far away. In fact, I feel closer to you now than when I was still in the States, because neither of us were bloggers then. It was just e-mail and the rare, but long and lovely, phone conversation. ;-) Miss you more than you know!

About Me

Having just embarked on the homeschooling adventure this year, I have quickly come to realize that I am nothing more than my weblog title implies: a student with unlimited chalkboard privileges. I love the learning process and am so blessed to be given the opportunity to serve my children through homeschooling.

What Do You Think?

I began homeschooling because:
the school system is overcrowded, underpaid, and therefore ineffective for my child.
God told me to.
my child did not want to go to school as a result of social issues.
my child has special needs and the school system did not have adequate programs in place to address them.
