My daughter, Shayla, captured my heart a few moments ago when I was typing up my homesteadblogger entry.  While grasping a new book in her hand she turned to me and said, "You know Mom, I love the way this feels.  It feels so good to grab a book like this because you never know what is inside or what you are going to find."

Now, that was just a perfect desciption of my love for books...

That's how I feel about books too...I'd have a complete wall-to-wall-to ceiling library of my very own if I had the space. *sigh*

I began homeschooling because:
the school system is overcrowded, underpaid, and therefore ineffective for my child.
God told me to.
my child did not want to go to school as a result of social issues.
my child has special needs and the school system did not have adequate programs in place to address them.
