Leaving A Legacy
Sep. 27, 2006
Whatever shall I wash first? ;-)

My washer has gone on to the big appliance center in the sky, and so there's a new one on it's way home!  I'm SO excited, especially since we were adding it up yesterday and figured out that it would cost us approximately $40 every 5 days to go to the laundromat!  Yikes!  That's $240 a month!  The bonus of the laundromat, of course, is that it's all done at once.  But I'm hoping that with this new machine, it'll be done much faster than usual!   I got a Kenmore Elite Oasis and it's got the largest drum you can get right now at 4.5 cu ft, LOL.  I've gone without my machine for another 4 days since the laundromat so I have about 10 normal-size loads to do (including the sheets) and I'm anxious to see how much of it I can pile in there!

We're doing a normal school day tomorrow (albeit with interruptions; I have a baby dr appt in the morning, ds 1 has guitar in the afternoon and dd 1 has ballet in the late afternoon--yeesh!) and then we're having our umbrella school chapel Fri morning, a picnic at the park, and then we're OFF FOR A WEEK!  YIPPEE!  I'm going to sort through clothes and get ready for fall, get the boys to paint the trim and doors throughout the house,  scrub down my garage floor, and detail-clean each room in the house, one per day.  Think we might go to the library and pick out some great National Geographic science and travel videos and then I'll count a few days as "school", LOL.  I'm excited to get all those things accomplished, but I'm wondering when exactly *my* break is?!  I guess when I go visit my sister at Thanksgiving!

I'm glad to hear that you got a new one!! YAY!
I'm only sorry I forgot to ask dh about that and call you back, I only remembered when our mutual friend mentioned it and by that time you had already gotten a new one. So sorry! You have to remind me sometimes.
