We Have Arrived!

2007-07-09

Amazon River/Brazil Hi! We and all of our luggage have arrived safely in Brazil. I (Stepanie) am praising God for the easiest travel day I have EVER had with any TMI team!! God smoothed everything out and anything that could have been a problem wasn't even an issue!! God is so good! WE had a presentaion as soon as we arrived and it went well. We have six more planned for the next four days and then we are on a boat to Belem.

This is a bit different than originally planned; they were to have started their Amazon River trip today and arrived on Thursday.  It sounds like now they'll leave on Friday instead.  I'm still amazed at how tough this is, having him travel and NOT KNOWING WHAT HE'S DOING.  My mother in law says it's not going to get any better.  I thought it was definitely getting easier when they left the nest, but instead I'm apparently going to spend all my time wondering what they're up to.  Yeesh!  I'm going to have to get busy doing something or other . . .

Found something interesting on the TMI website that you might be interested in if you're looking for things to do this summer.  The kids use thousands of "wordless books" and "wordless bracelets" each year.  They're very simple to make (books are different colors of felt sewn together along one edge; bracelets are colored beads strung in a certain order and knotted on leather laces) and you just follow the directions online and mail them in!  I know we'll be making some around here over the summer.  It's a cool, inexpensive way to further the gospel!  You can find the information at  www.teenmissions.org  under "Wordless Books."

Oh Hooray!!!

I am so glad He and his STUFF made it there safely. The Advetures he will have to share with you when he gets home will amaze you moment by moment. Keep a reacord it you can of specific times and dates you are praying for him and his team. You will be so blessed when you see that your prayers and their miracles line up!

Once they leave home, you worry so much more than when they were home. I have discovered with my son that if I tell God on him, God makes him call his mommie!!!!

Praying for you as you make your books and bracelets and your next letter.

because of Jesus, Bobbie

Wow. We used those same tools in 1982 when I was on the England Canal II Team. Shout out to all the TMI'ers past , present and future!

Here's praying he has a wonderful, fulfilling, all in those silly boots good time serving God. One brick at a time.
