| Leaving A Legacy |

Our lovely day . . .This morning dh took the older boys to a car graveyard to look for a new seat for his Mustang, which is on its last tires but is going to HAVE to make it awhile longer. They had a great time, picking up grandpa on the way (actually they took his truck!) and stopping at Dunkin Donuts, where they voted their Boston Cremes to be entirely unsatisfying, and the coffee to be great but extremely sweet (that's how mama likes it!) They were able to locate the seat they needed and negotiate the price down almost in half--yippee! Now it's been about a 2-hour process of trying to get the old seat out of the car. Hopefully they're learning something about that; I was reminded that I'm glad they're NOT learning all the colorful words I used to learn when my dad worked on the car! The girls are currently in my tub playing ducky; I was preparing to read a book to them but they were covered in dirt from playing in the backyard so we had to make a new plan! The little boys just finished doing an "Online Field Trip" to Carlsbad Caverns! You should check it out--they really enjoyed it and the site looks like it's got lots of options, including one-page worksheets you can print out about each trip. I think I'm going to let the older guys have at it (after they wash their greasy hands!) for dinner, and see what they can come up with. The pantry's in pretty good shape, so they should be able to think of something! And I'd also like to head over to the gym and perhaps hit the treadmill. Or possibly my bed for a nap; it's a toss-up. . . Tomorrow night the Symphony is doing Copeland's Appalachian Spring, Saint Saens (not familiar with this, yet!) Piano Concerto #2, and Mendelssohn's Symphony #4, "Italian" and I'm planning to take the boys. Fun! 3:33 PM - Jan. 31, 2008 - post comment
