I've stumbled across your blog again this morning. Usually when I sign on to HSB I pick a few bloggers to check out who are on at the sametime. I tend to forget whose user names I've selected before, but as I was thumbing down your page, it started coming back that I've been here before and read about your decision to have your sons attend highschool.
I really enjoy reading your postings. I appreciate other moms desires to see our children's hearts grow towards the Lord. I really loved how you pullled one of Paul's testament of His love towards the people in Corinth and was able to direct it to the "motherly" side of your affection for your teenage sons. (I too am experiencing the joys of teenagehood - although, I only have one right now. I make that remark with the sweetest intent - my son is a complete bundle of joy to me! He is such a gift and I would never, ever trade him for even the smallest moment of time. He really is a gift in our lives. But, oh the fun of teenagehood that goes on around here :O) ! ) I have to be ever thankful though and give glory where glory is due - to the Lord- cause I have seen a big difference for the good in the way my son handles his frustrations than I ever did, it is a blessing and a true comfort to my role as a momma in his life - truly it's all because of the Lord and only because of Him. Boy, do I ever seek the Lord's wisdom over the priviledge given to me to be the mother of two such sweet blessings and I praise Him for the grace He showers us with when we do mess up from time to time in this area.
I am gonna try to check out that book you mentioned about teens. Sometimes, my memory falls back to my own "teen" times and can only wonder and often relate to the natural tendency that teens experience while having to stay under that umbrella of protection that the Lord gave them - parents ;o)
God is Good!!
~sorry, I know comments are meant to be short, but I just got to rambling about one of my passions. Hope that's okay. Blessings.
