*Melissa:  Yup.  West Texas was the best.  I knew you'd "get me."   I miss our moms Bible Studies, don't you?

*Gan:  30 minutes just seems like plenty to me--when I'm not sitting here in front of this time-sucker!  I'm really going to try; I just set my alarm for 15 minutes and I'll try splitting it up to see if that works out!  I've got to keep an eye on email and the Teen Missions site, so once a day won't work for me . . . in fact, I might need to make it 3 ten- minute sessions to be more practical!  I would LOVE to read your blog!  Please go make one and let me know!  Oh, and I think they say the determining factor on whether you're an introvert or extrovert is which situation energizes you--being with people, or being alone.  What do you think?

So last night I found a website which is, mmmmm, shall we say, helpful   though not fun!  It's www.fitday.com and is basically an online calorie counter/exercise counter/weight goal journal.  I put in what I ate yesterday (that took awhile to find all the exact descriptions)--and was quite appalled at the number that came up as the "total calories."  Egads!  No wonder they say that the simple act of writing down what you eat every day makes you lose weight--it's because it makes you conscious of what you're doing.  I'm determined to cut out junk food.  I've definitely gotten too friendly with my used-to-be-weekly Coke and Hershey's habit, not to mention my ice cream habit.  Could be worse, but seriously, I was a bit frustrated with myself at Boot Camp because I was so hot and sweaty--I know it absolutely did not used to be so bad until I gained this weight.  Sigh.  No fun!  Anyway, I need to do it so I'll be in better shape to serve my family and the Lord--I never really realized 'til recently how that really does affect us, even if you just look at your energy level in general.  Long life would be good too--avoiding diabetes and high blood pressure, etc. etc.  So, it's going to be a process.  I think from now on I'm going to add up the calories as I go along instead of when it's too late to do anything about it!  You can find sites that will tell you how many you should be taking in, and the nice thing about Fitday is that it shows you what nutrients you're getting, too--which is very important since we care about our health more than our looks, right?--so you know how that's going over the course of the day.

In church yesterday we were singing "Holy is the Lord God Almighty, the earth is filled with His glory . . . " and as I looked around, I wanted to scream "HELLO!  DOES ANYONE HERE CARE ABOUT THIS?  DOES IT MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU THAT THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY IS HOLY AND THE EARTH IS FILLED WITH HIS GLORY?"  They looked bored to me.  I asked my dh, and he said he thought about a dozen people cared.  *sigh*

Low on time--I'll do my Daybook and add it here later!

Misty Krasawski is the overly-blessed mom of seven children whom she homeschools in sunshine-y Florida. She has been clinging ferociously to the hand of her Lord since she was knee-high to a grasshopper, homeschooling for the past eleven years, and has eighteen more years ahead of her with the children who are glad she will have done most of her experimenting on those who went before. Her wonderful husband Rob has much treasure laid up for him in heaven for having been called to such a daunting task.
