The Old Schoolhouse Magazine is offering a free e-book called Noble Womanhood. It's a collection of beautiful quotes about womanhood, and I loved this one especially. I hope it will be an inspiration to you too! And be sure to stop by to receive your own free copy of the e-book at :

In every ideal home there exists an essence that diffuses its
fragrance--the fine flower of noble womanhood, without which
the house is a habitation, not a home. Alone under the ministering
care of woman may the routine of daily life be relieved and
varied and the course of the household made to flow free from
friction. Caressed by her gentle touch, order ranges itself, beauty
finds a dwelling place, and peace enters as an abiding guest.
Preeminently it is woman that idealizes the home, and with her
sweet refining presence, creates its atmosphere of serenity and
May we all be a fragrance of beauty in our homes today!

I have been reading your blog awhile now. I have 1 homeschooler and 1 now in.....are you ready....the dreaded PUBLIC SCHOOL!!! That's right I said it... the taboo word on your blog PUBLIC SCHOOL!!!
Contrary to your beliefs and fears...public school ain't so bad. My child is loving the independence--the friends ...and laughs now more than ever before. The kids are nice and teachers very respectful. Never has been offered drugs or ridiculed by a teacher. Now I'm not saying it doesn't happen.. there are as many good teachers as bad out there I suppose. But the same holds true for homeschool moms. There are good and bad. Resourceful and neglectful...
So stop with your prejudicial opinions. Just because you do it one way don't make it the ONLY way. And I do find it odd that you stay in the class with your kids. GIVE THEM SPACE
Oh, and the reason for the message subject LOL LOL LOL is becasue I'm so OVER how much you say it.
Oct. 3, 2008 - Hmmm . . .
You haven't been reading here for too long, or you would realize that public school is *not* a taboo term on this blog. Usually it's much easier to see people's hearts through their writing, as it was with your comment. I'm not at all surprised to hear that your child is much happier at school, and glad to hear you made that choice. This blog is meant to be a place for sharing my life and encouraging other moms. Please feel free not to waste your time here reading things that are obviously unhelpful to you; there's plenty out there about topics you'd appreciate much more than mine. In the future, mean-spirited posts will be removed without comment. And if I were you, I'd try a little more of that laughter for real.

Wow, Anon, I will pray for you. I am pretty sure you have a lot of bitterness. AND I'm absolutely sure that Misty is not saying that *public school* is taboo!! Hopefully you will find peace and not an ulcer from being so stressed about such things. Especially since this is the *World Wide Web* and can type in "PUBLIC SCHOOL BLOGGER" and find more of what you are looking for. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
