Big news in our world . . .

We're expecting!  Number eight is on his/her way, and we are due, once again, sometime mid-August.

Whew!

It's a big surprise (well, as much as those things can be, LOL) to us.  I will miss being a 40-year-old mom by two months when this one is born, and I'm sure I'll be given some grief about that.  Of course, I know God's in charge and He has a plan so I'm not worried.  I've got a mindful of things that I know I need to do, though . . . There's a definite need for every room to be drastically decluttered and the contents reduced by about half.  Rob says we'll have to move.  2000 square feet, 2 bathrooms and 10 people probably isn't going to work very well; we've already pushed out all the wrinkles and filled the house to bursting!  The garage remodel was great for the three little boys, but we're still in need of a schoolroom, and a place for the television, and somewhere for them all to hang out, and room for toys, and probably two more bathrooms.

I'm praying for a lot of grace and that I won't be sick, if you care to join me.  The kids were excited, though the oldest two didn't seem too surprised--they said, "Mom, do you know how many mysterious family meetings we've been called to?"  LOL!  We played Operator and let each child tell the one next to him/her.  Now Victoria wants to play it all the time, only there's no more news.

Christmas is only 8 days away!  Can't believe it.  Levi has a church program tomorrow night that he's singing a solo in; I can't wait to hear him!  I had a lovely, lovely, lovely time at my cookie swap last week, and now am trying to catch up with some TOS reviews that need to get done.  We finally discussed and lit the first (and second, and third!) candles on the Advent wreath tonight, so I feel somewhat accomplished!  And I made a huge pot of "virus-killing chicken soup" which actually was a pretty big hit, though it could've used a bit less cayenne pepper.

This year we'll try something new on Christmas morning.  Taking a cue from Jon and Kate Plus 8, we're going to stack each person's presents in their individual seating spot (complete with name tags!)  I'm thinking this will help the craziness of trying to find a present for the one who needs a turn.  It will also help me as I'm wrapping to sortof figure out who needs more (or less!) to open! As much as we've tried to cut back this year, I don't think it's working.  It's just too much fun to give gifts, especially when you find things for half off or better.  It's only Rob that's giving me trouble with shopping.  He never knows what he wants!

Hope your Christmas to-do-lists are growing shorter by the moment!

Congratulations!

Many congratulations on the wonderful news that you're expecting again. May God richly bless your family. It is wonderful that your children are growing up in such a loving household which welcomes God's blessings. I'll pray that you have an uneventful pregnancy, and I'll pray for grace and peace for you.

Misty, what am I gonna do with you? For a while there, we were tied (counting actual pregnancies), but now you've surpassed me by far! (six here) I'll never catch up -- I'm too old! LOL! Love you so much and am so pleased to hear your wonderful news. My personal hope is for a boy so Micah will have the perfect playmate, but God knows what's best. Congratulations! ((HUGS))

Description
Misty Krasawski is the overly-blessed mom of eight children whom she homeschools in sunshine-y Florida. She has been clinging ferociously to the hand of her Lord since she was knee-high to a grasshopper, homeschooling for the past thirteen years, and has eighteen more years ahead of her with the children who are glad she will have done most of her experimenting on those who went before. Her wonderful husband Rob has much treasure laid up for him in heaven for having been called to such a daunting task.
