• 4-Nov-2007 - Questions I can't answer....

My eldest asked me why boys are so into looks when it comes to girls...and I don't have an answer to that...except that...God wired them that way.  I think my daughters are beautiful....smart...and funny.  My eldest has a friend who is pretty....blonde hair...stunning blue eyes...and boys tell her she is beautiful.  Boys  tell her she is beautiful and perfect.  So there stands K thinking...what is wrong with me???  Why doesn't anybody tell me that????  And I can so relate to her.  I remember being her age and just wishing that some guy would think I was "it"!!  But no...they always thought some other girl was beautiful and perfect. When it comes to my own childrens disappointments and frustrations...it effects me more than when they were my own disappointments!

Here's the deal Cheryl!

Guys just don't go around telling other guys that they are beautiful!

And what can I say! Kate's too much of a tomboy! She's kinda like "One of the guys". She's too "Cool" to be looked at as a girl! :) haha!

She's going to hit me for this tomorrow! :)

But I guess if you really look for the "girl" in her... Yup! She is pretty! What do you know! :) Hahahaha!

K is a tomboy....but she still wants to be appreciated as a girl. K is not the giggly sort...she has an awesome laugh. She is smart and beautiful...these silly boys need to start seeing her beautiful side...amazing smile and hazel eyes...just to name a few of her attributes...or they are totally going to miss out! Go ahead...fall for the girls that giggle and flirt and have every other guy falling for them. K is something special and unique!

K is a beautiful girl with an incredibly beautiful heart that leads her, and that is the heart of a Christ follower. Praise God for the way He sees us, wish we could all see His way. When the time comes, the right man will be there admiring your beautiful young lady.

Love ya friend,

• 7-Nov-2007 - Mom to a blue eyed blond

Posted by Jaimers
As a mom to a blue eyed blond who gets lots of attention, I can tell you this much, it's not always wanted. My daughter is often called an "over achiever" and unfortunately about 3 grades above her friends who are in public school. She's not one to solicit the attention and has a hard time with the fact that the boys are less mature than she is. She's constantly complaining that there isn't one male friend that she can have an intelligent conversation with.

Many boys are intimidated by her strength, bur the 'right' man will cherish it among her other great qualities.Right now guys are more attracted to her fun side..it would make things feel :odd", if they suddenly said one of their buddies was beautiful.I bet many do notice though, and just don't say anything so as not to gum up the relationship they already have with her. Most guys wish their girl was as much fun to be with as K is, and not worried about breaking a nail or mussing their hair. K doesn't realize it yet, but she is the complete package...she has brains, strength, adventurous, and very beautiful. It will take a strong man to be her companion.Guys appreciate who she is, and that s more awesome; she doesn't have to decorate her physical self to get the attention and acceptance that she has already. No worrie about K, it's the boys who are going to need to worry. SO,
from reading the comments below, seems one can't win. That's kind of a good thing since then we each continue to try and better ourselves.
For the "Boy" who is that perfect guy, watch out, I'll be gunning for you.
I know of a great Nunnery in Germany......<please!> lol
So, in your Father's eyes, we are exactly who He wants us to be, as long as we follow His words.
In K's/Nuttyhousemouse's fathers eye's, no guy will be good enough for his girls. (to inclunde himself by the way)!
So, go sit in your Father's lap, snuggle in, and just enjoy His love and His protection. Then, you'llknow true love.
