| Have meant to comment on this subject that was floating around last week but sort of got tied up in life!! I have given it some thought and I can best describe it by what I have seen: in the faces of the NYPD and FDNY after 9/11; on the faces of our servicemen and women in Iraq; and closest to home it the face of my daughter when her fiancee died of a heart attack at the age of 35. Perhaps it is the determination to suceed in the face of overwhelming adversity. God seems to support us at our greatest hour of need and rejoice with us when we overcome. If we could only remember to rely on him more instead of shouldering all our burdens alone. |
