Busy week
I can't believe it's Thursday already! I've been wanting to sit down and blog a bit but every day just keeps getting away from me! I look up and find it's nearly dinner time. Part of the problem is that I'm getting a late start every day. My SIL fell last Thursday and broke her wrist and her doctor told her that she can't go back to work until after the new year. That means my nieces aren't coming here every morning, I really like the extra time to snuggle with my husband, but it has thrown my morning routine off! Oh well, somethings are more important than a perfect morning routine.
We got hit with the storm that hit all of the northeast this weekend and ended up with between 14 and 18 inches of snow, it was hard to tell with the drifts. My husband got out the snowblower and cleared the driveway and sidewalks Sunday afternoon, but by Monday morning when the snow stopped it all needed to be done again. It took my youngest son and I about an hour and a half to clear everything again (the snowblower ran out of gas) while the older boys finished up their schoolwork. Then that afternoon we all went to the dentist for cleanings, another hour and a half. So I've sort of been playing catch up all week.
If you can, would you please take a minute to pray for a few people? Jean, the woman who coordinates Meals on Wheels for the day we deliver will be having surgery January 21. It's still unknown if she will ever be able to be ambulatory afterwards. Please pray she makes a full recovery. Also Howard, who delivers meals with us has been unable to deliver these last 2 weeks due to doctor appointments. I'm not sure what is wrong, he is 84 though so I'm afraid it may not be good. Please pray for his health. I know how much it means to him to still be able to help others. Thank you! |
