As I was putting my 6 year old daughter to bed tonight she told me she sometimes wonders if she is a primordial dwarf (I'll explain in a minute about that). I asked her why she thought that. She said that sometimes when her father and I are in our room talking that she wonders if we are saying "Honey, we should tell her that she is a primordial dwarf" (only she said 'dorf' instead of dwarf :) or "We should tell her that she is really 18 even though we only put 6 candles on her cake" (because of how PDs look much younger than they are). You can imagine how hard it was to keep from bursting into laughter. I explained to her that she was NOT a dwarf of any sort. I also asked her didn't she think she would remember living more than six years if she was really eighteen? She said she guessed that she would. All this comes from watching the TLC show "The Smallest People in the World" where they show several children who are primordial dwarfs. This is the most extreme case of dwarfism there is. They look like they are about 2-5 years old depending on how extreme it is. Anyway, I really love the way children's minds work. They definitely keep you entertained ;) |
