A beginning

Well, here I begin a new blog.  Hopefully, I'll keep up with this one!

Both of my boys are making me very proud so I'll probably brag about them a bunch. We've been doing 2nd grade and preschool for a few weeks now.

I gave my 7yo a puzzle to work on. 16 pieces four different color with each color coming in one of 4 different shapes. The idea is to lay them out so that there are no two colors or shapes in the same row or column. Daddy and I worked on it a little bit on and off but it took the 7yo to solve it. :)

The 4yo has a President Lincoln fixation since we went to DC this summer and saw the big man's memorial. He really wants to know what happened to the bad man and all of President Lincoln's friends. I've been trying to figure out a good concrete way to show him how he lived years, and years, and years ago.

Now, if we can just get our science experiments to work!
