Part-Time and Loving It
Last week was my first week as part-time. It took until Thursday to feel any real difference. I did spread the housework over the week. That was nice and allowed me to spend more time with the boys.
We have spent time reading the Bible, reading Prince Caspian, baking, and playing together. I taught them how to latch hook last week (when I wrote about our school plans I messed up on what our handicrafts were going to be). The boys really took to latch hook. J will be finished with his project as soon as he finishes sewing the backing on. D is still working on the latch hook portion.
I have had a lot more time to knit. I'm working on a project for a coworker's 1st grandbaby. I hope to be finished with it by the end of the week. My in-loves gave me a wonderful knitting book for Christmas. I'll write an entry about it at a later date.
Yesterday we had one of the boys' friends over for the afternoon and evening. We made pretzels together and played the Monopoly Card game. We used to have fun game nights together with her parents. I should talk to Heidi about planning another one soon.
School will start back up on Tuesday. Monday is a bank holiday, so we have decided to delay school by one day. The boys requested to be granted holidays from school on the weekdays their dad has a bank holiday. We thought it was a reasonable request and agreed to it.
This coming Monday will be a day off for all of us. I should think a fun adventure for us to go on. Maybe to the wildlife preserve if the weather permits it. If we go, I'll be sure to take the camera.
