We Have Chicks.
We got 4 Rhode Island Chicks on May 22. Our goal is to have enough fresh eggs we don't have to buy any. I am hoping they will eat enough bugs and grubs to help eliminate my mole problem in my yard.
Here are the boys' journal entries from May 22.

Today the hens came. Bucky brought the hens. They were four Rhode Island Reds named Jenny, Penny, Olivia, and Mary. I like the way they drink. The get some water on their beak, then tilt their heads back so that the water runs down their mouth. They do have a cycle; sleep, eat, drink, go to the restroom, sleep. They do this a lot. Bucky, D, and I went to buy a thermometer so we went to Nilsens to buy one. When we got back to the house, Bucky had to go home.

Here are some photos of the chicks.
