Here's a nice story about a Desert Storm vet and his quest for dental care:
TA soldier Ian Boynton could not afford to go private for treatment after suffering with excruciating toothache since 2006.
So instead he took drastic action and removed them himself.
He said: “I’ve tried to get in at 30 dentists over the last eight years but have never been able to find one to take on NHS patients.

My mother (I'm English and my family still live in England) just paid the equivalent of $150 for a filling - under the NHS. I have no idea how this is the NHS when they're paying so much money. I imagine if they had no money to pay, they would end up like this poor man, having to do his own dentistry.
My Nana has cancer and they're not treating it - she is old and has had it before.
My mother had pneumonia several years ago and was hospitalized for quite some time because of the severity. She told me how one of the nurses was just mean. She would ignore patients who repeatedly asked for help. She would handle the old ladies very very roughly, handling one so roughly that she ended up with a HUGE bruise all the way up her leg.
This is Nationalized Medicine. We do not want it here. I believe we will get it here under Obama's plan and that's so very very scary.
