A friend of mine sent this to me and I thought I would share. Christians called to abandon public education I am finding it very interesting since I have one who is saying they would like to go to public school next year. I have much prayer ahead of me over this issue. I would like to hear your thoughts and insights.
I think Voddie Baucham is absolutely right. Those 14,000 hours creates a humanistic worldview that is very hard to counter in the few hours that parents spend with the children or the few hours a child spends in church. Personally, I think most if not all Christian children should be homeschooled. although I would never want to force it on them... that's a decision the Holy Spirt must convict people about.
Just remember that you are the parent, and One day they will Thank you for it.. I remember not that long ago talking to a girl and she said almost every child that is homeschooled will say they want to go to school at some point.. She even said the parents that gave in and let them go, that the kids ended up coming back home to be schooled.. this to shall pass.
The life of a homeschooling mom of 4.
Loving the life God has given you, homeschooling, growing in the word, letting God lead and me follow, dying to self. Who would have thought I would grow into someone I thought a few years ago was a wacko!!
