Garage Sale Bargains

Today was the day for our annual, autumnal, community-wide garage sales. usually, I find bargains galore at these. (One is held in the spring as well.) Back to today's sales...utter disappointment! Hardly anything worthwhile to be found. I did come across a few good deals, however:

Wee one was thrilled with his buy...he found himself a nice
Healthometer Scale-25 cents
He's been playing with it constantly...guess it's time to get him a set of balances, or something, eh?
I also got a denim jacket for myself, for $3; a glass serving plate for 25 cents; and nice curtains for the 8 windows on my back porch, for 50 cents for ALL of them.
All in all, not bad...but we've definitely done better in the past. At any rate, I am grateful that G-d sent me in the directions He did, allowing us to find the deals we did! What were your finds, today?

I love yard sales too but haven't had much of a chance to shop at any lately.
My kids want to have a yard sale but I have every single Saturday booked from now until the end of November!
Maybe I will store their stuff and let them have a sale in the Spring....Where will I put all of it?! I will have to ask my hubby if he has any room in his storage building :)

I haven't done much of it this season, but I love getting those great finds and looking them up on Ebay to see what I can get for them!!

It's been too hot for garage sales for me. But alas, Autumn FINALLY arrived. I turned the control from "cool" to "heat" yesterday on my thermostat. And this morning when I woke up from a night of shivering, I found the house at a toasty warm 61 degrees at 8am...but that's another story.
Enjoy your finds! I hope to 'share' some goodies soon too! (And pssssst - I'm soooooo glad you're blogging again! It's been lonely out here all by myself!)
