In my copious spare time, ahem, I ran across this fun map where you can mark the states you have been to in our country!  I'm going to attempt to get this into my blog so you can try it too.  It's fun!

Neat! We're going to incorporate this in our schoolwork. Thanks! We're also going to do letterboxing. Have you heard of this? Super neato field trips... Just look on www.letterboxing.org and look for the boxes hidden in your state. It's like a treasure hunt and you physically follow the clues printed from the website to find all these thousands of boxes hidden around the country and probably many around your state.
Our first day of school was painful, unfortunately. We are just doing review this week, so it's nothing exciting. I almost chartered a Yellow Bus of Doom for my ds. The past two days have been better, praise God!

Hi Melinda. Thanks for stopping by my site & I'd be honored to be on your friends list! Enjoy high school - it goes so fast. My oldest isn't officially graduated yet, but she just turned 17, drives herself to her community college classes & work & is only doing a few things at home now. She's a lovely young lady but I miss having her around. But that's what we raise them for, right?
Oh --thanks for the map site, my 9 & 11 yo would love that, I'm going to check that out.
