I realized today that I haven't posted a new blog in well over a month.  It's not like I've had nothing to blog about, I just haven't gotten around to doing it.

So, as a quick review of the end of our summer....

--We're pregnant!  We're expecting baby # 4 at the beginning of April.
--Two of my 3 children attended VBS, and they had lots of fun.  I had a week of just Robbie and I, which was really nice, though he's decided that he'll try out VBS next year.
--I've been dead tired, and very nauseous for the past several weeks, and therefore I've been mostly camping out on my living room couch while my children watch too much tv and play too many video games.
--My father came to visit, and the kids had lots of fun, despite the fact that I'm sure I was the worst hostess ever, due to my constant napping and not wanting to go anywhere.

And that wraps up the summer.  We started back to school last week, and so far, so good.  Even Robbie, my reluctant learner, is doing really well.  I think he's accepted the fact that school is just a part of life, and he can't expect Riley to do everything for him.  I'm relieved that it's going so well.  Granted, I had to cut back on a lot of my plans, but even so, the kids are still doing great.

This is probably my favorite time of year.  I just love the fall, the beginning of a new year, changing my menu plans to reflect the cooler temperatures, picking apples and baking apple pies and crisps, changing out our summer wardrobe for our fall/winter clothes (or in my case, shopping for new maternity clothes!), getting ready for the holidays.  There's just so much excitement during this time of year.  Not to mention that I'm almost out of the first trimester, and I am very much looking forward to feeling better!
