I realize I haven't given a summary of our last 2 weeks of TOG. In week 4, we went back to the very beginning when God created! The younger girls made creation books while DD #1 made a God's majesty poster. We also learned about Noah's Ark. We measured out the length and width of it and figured about twelve 2000 sq feet homes would have fit in just 1 floor of it! That was a really awesome project to figure out. A highly recommended book is The True Story of Noah's Ark. It sticks very close to the Scriptures making sure to note where speculation is being made and has some gorgeous pictures in it. I am so glad I went ahead and bought this book.In week 5, we headed into Ancient Mesopotamia and took a look at the place that Abraham came from and the people he had lived among. It was neat to see how he was called out from among the idol worshipers to be a worshipper of God! What a gracious and merciful God we serve! The girls made ziggurats, temples of the Sumerians, from legos. I took pictures but haven't had a chance to upload them yet. They did a really great job on them. They worked on them while watching an Abraham video. We also talked about the Tower of Babel.
Week 6 is going to be very short and we are mainly focusing on the Patriarchs which will get us back to the exodus from Egypt for the last 3 weeks.
