It has been a long day! Baby girl woke us up at 6:45 a.m. with a really nasty diaper rash. This was after I had turned off the alarm because I didn't get to bed until 12:30 a.m. due to DH not getting home until after 11 p.m. and wanting to spend some time with him. Unfortunately, it was not a day that I could just relax around the house and try to get a nap when Baby slept.
We had plans to meet DSIL and her twins at the outlet center about 1/2 hour away. We had an enjoyable time (I got to love on babies) even though neither of us really found things we were looking for, at least not at prices we felt were outlet prices, but that is a rant for another time. We ended up not leaving there until about 3:30 or 4 but I had plans to stop at the Hobby Lobby and library while on that side of the river. We ended up not getting home until 6 p.m. and, thankfully, I had a roast in the crockpot all cooked and ready to eat! Dh got home shortly after us. I called him as we got off the highway and he was coming down the ramp right behind us!
Baby girl was ready for an early bed as she had only had a 45 minute nap in the stroller/car. However, I had to bathe her when we got home because she enjoyed the PB & jelly sandwich at lunch a little too much. SIL said she thought jelly took the place of hair gel. I haven't done much since supper except get my night clothes on and sit here at the computer. I am getting ready to head to bed myself now that everyone else is taken care of in hopes that I can catch up on some sleep. Night-night!!
