Ancient Greece! We have taken a look at the gods and goddesses of Greek mythology and all the stories that go with them. We have seen the cunnery in the Trojan Horse and the bravery that goes with Jason and the Golden Fleece. We enjoyed watching the older movie of Jason and the Argonauts complete with the fighting skeletons.We had a Greek dinner with friends the other night. The girls did the majority of the cooking. We enjoyed cheese pastries and apple raisin salad along with feta, spinach and chicken pasta. For dessert we had cinnamon cake which was quite yummy. There were olives also but only after I thought of them last minute. What would be a Greek meal without olives!!
The girls also tried to make pottery similar to Grecian. The shape wasn't quite the same but they used images from nature to paint on. If anything, it was a fun and creative project.
