Week 20 carried us into the Divided Kingdom. This was due to Solomon's sins of allowing his heart to be divided between God and the world through his many wives. It is sad to read about. God's chosen people are now divided and sometimes even enemies. We see Israel heading down a path of destruction full force with one evil king after another. We see Judah a little better off as godly kings do occasionally arise and the priests move back to Jerusalem from Israel. God's mercy is still seen as he sends prophet after prophet to encourage repentance and atonement for sins. One of them we looked at was Elijah and how God cared for him by sending the ravens to feed him. The twins put together a mobile with verses showing how God cares for us.
