We continued this week seeing the end of the kingdom of Israel. God carried out His promised judgment by allowing the Assyrians to conquer and carry away the Israelites to be scattered among themselves. It is sad to read of the end of this part of God's chosen people but, having read the history, they never tried to stop their drop down the slippery slope. Next week, we see the Babylonians and their role in the end of Judah's kingdom.
