and 0 visitors at our open house yesterday. I think the 2 events might be connected. We are disappointed but continue to trust the Lord will send the right person at the right time. Funny thing is, the chance of rain was only 10% yesterday but it must have been our area that was in it. I am not complaining though because we need the rain.We enjoyed a trip to the local Navy base and were able to tour a ship and helicopter. It was with our local C.A.R. society of which Eldestof5 is the president this year. We also learned about the Sea Cadets. It was beautiful weather with a nice breeze. If it had just been a tad cooler, it could have felt like fall!
This was the first of 3 weekends this month that we have a C.A.R. activity. With Eldestof5 being president, she needs to attend events and give greetings. Next weekend, she and I will attend the local Constitution Week Luncheon and then the following weekend, we will travel down state to help sell state C.A.R. pins at the DAR fall forum. Thursday night of this week, we have to attend the local S.A.R. meeting for a presentation. I am tired just thinking about it!!
For those who don't know - C.A.R. is Children of the American Revolution, DAR is the Daughters and S.A.R. is the Sons.
